My initial problem was that the native Android launcher doesn't have an option to lock the position of icons on the home screens (GOOGLE - please help!). My organisation uses Lenovo tablets with lots of AppSheet apps on them and users keep moving the AppSheet shortcut icons accidentally, and then can't find them.
I read that third party launchers like Nova Launcher allow you to lock the position of icons on the home screens. But I tried Nova and when I add an AppSheet shortcut to a home screen, it only adds it to the native launcher home screen, not the Nova home screen.
Is there a way round this with the Nova Launcher?
Should I try some other third party launcher?
Is there any other way of locking the icons in position?
Just for info - the Android version on the Lenovo tablets is 5.x, and there doesn't seem to be any way to upgrade to a higher version of Android, even though the tablets are only a year old. When you check for system updates, the message comes back that they are up-to-date.
