Hi, I'm new to android phones and was curious if it was safe to attempt to install a custom ROM (specifically CM7) with only temp root. I have gingerbread on my evo shift, and from what I've read it hasn't been perm rooted yet. I've looked into downgrading but it looks like a major headache, so some help would be appreciated.
