I had bought a book Saturday, Android App for Dummies.
Read first chapter.
Says you need some level of Java to get a grasp.
Then installed the Android Studio today.
Did the first chapter, a basic, " Hello World"
Run it.
Need to install "HAXM"
Failed to run it.
Author of the book may be some programming expert, but I had to register on here with the problem, before youtubing it.
Turns out, HAXM can be installed if you go into Windows turn on and off stuff in control panel. Check the Hyper V extensions.
Then turn off the machine and go into the BIOS and go into advanced settings and turn on Virtual Emulator icon, save and restart.
This guy puts some amazing stuff in code, but can't even put all this extra stuff in. Whether its the book outdated or something.
A dummy guide to Android and I need to read other books in Java, but had to goto youtube and use trial and error to solve the problem.
Thinking books are a complete waste of time...
I create the app and deployed it after all this install HAXM stuff.
If anyone is struggling with Windows 11 on this, I can make a video to share on youtube on it as the ones available are out of date.
Will be on a ASUS motherboard from 3 years ago.
Thanks..

Maybe post this on windows central or neowin. This is an Andriod centric site. Not too many app creators here, we deal with everyday Andriod issues mostly.

That's waaaaaaay too much work for me. Once you start fiddling with the BiOS I have flashbacks to when I was trying to install Linux on a Mac and it triggers my PTSD.
