installing JB update not working after Rooting

so i sideloaded the christmas leak way back when, and apparently removed some of the bloatware system files via Titanium Backup. this morning i attempted to sideload the 40 mb update with the new official build, and i'm getting error messages. something about slacker radio.apk missing, though i'm assuming i'd get others as well. it just fails the install at that step.

so now i'm wondering what my options are. i'd like to have the latest build, and don't mind having to re-root if necessary. do i have to flash back to an older version of ICS? if so, can someone please let me know how to do this.

Its common knowledge that if you freeze or remove ant system apps you can't update.. I don't know why we have to go through this every time there is an update.

You can't go back to ICS.

You're gonna have to re flash the original jellybean so you are stock. Re root if you have to. Protect root with voodoo.

I don't want to go back to ics. I just want the newest version of jb. Can you please describe the steps or send link of a tutorial to flash to the newest jelly Bean update?

I only mentioned ics because I thought I'd have to start with that to get the updates.

Just re flash the Christmas leak just like you did the first time and then flash the new update over that.

You can't because you deleted system apps. You need to go back to stock jellybean and then install the new update over that.

Yes it means the same. Its called flash because you are flashing an update inside of recovery and not getting it ota

How do you root the official build. I lost root and have no idea how to get root back. I tried Matt's utility 1.9 honestly I have no clue what I'm doing, I just want to wireless tether again.

If you have no clue what you're doing them you should have never attempted messing with anything to do with your phone.

Idk how to root it, I'm on the Christmas build and probably not updating anytime soon.

You can try the RAZR blade exploit that worked on the Christmas build

Open safe strap and load the backup you made when you rooted the phone. That's what I would do. On a side note I was running the Xmas leak stock rooted and installed the push update as part of the soak. I am rooted and safe strapped and the install went smooth I'm still rooted and safe strapped on official ota. Hoped it helped. Have you tried reinstalling slacker radio or a FDR

i didn't use safestrap as i was not planning on changing ROMS, i just rooted to use setcpu.

i did try reinstalling slacker, and that didn't work, however i have not tried the FDR.

I have the same situation with Slacker Radio. Anyone still on the Xmas build that could pull the APK? Then couldn't we just load it into the system\app folder? You can't reflash the Xmas build either because it too is looking for the Slacker Radio apk to patch that's supposed to be in the system\app folder. And since we're on JB I don't know if we can SBF back to ICS to just take the full update. Any other ideas? What is FDR?

I keep getting an "assert failed" error while trying to update to the latest OTA update. I'm on the Christmas build and rooted, but something I installed changed some of the system lib files required to update. I tried an FDR, but it didn't restore the missing files. Would someone be willing to post a copy of their entire system file who's on the stock Christmas build? I think that could help those looking for missing system apk's too. Thanks in advance.

You should be able to flash your phone with Matt's Utility. this will bring you right up to the current JB update. I am not 100% positive you can flash this while still on the christmas build, so you should wait to get verification from someone that knows for sure. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192467 here's the utility and instruction, though.
