What is the proper procedure for installing themes or other add-ons after flashing a custom ROM?

Let's say I have Myn's flashed but want to change the font and have downloaded a zip file containing a font folder and a META-INF folder from another developer (said to work with Myns).

Do I just copy these folders into the Myn's zip file replacing those Font and META-INF folders and then do a complete wipe/flash/etc?

Thanks.

i think all you have to do if you already have to rom installed is to just wipe cache and dalvik and then install whatever theme/addon that goes with the rom.. has worked out for me

Thanks.

I think I found my problem. I was using Clockwork Recovery and it didn't like some of the zip files that I tried to flash. Switch to RA and now every file I've updated has worked.

I haven't been wiping anything before applying these updates (font packages, etc), so I'm not sure if it's recommended or not...but it's been working.

i recommend wiping JIC

Thanks.

I read there were problems with Clockwork tho I never experienced them. I did make switch over to Amon RA and happy I did! its so thorough compared to CW.

and you should wipe before applying updates or switching ROMs. this way if theres anything on your current ROM thats not compatible with the new update or ROM, you wont go into a boot-loop (on the boot screen FOREVER :p )

What should be wiped? Dalvik? Cache? Both?

both when your just flashing updates or addons to your existing rom......dalvik/cache/data when flashing a new rom. it just saves you headaches...some people dont have any issues if they dont wipe...some do....just depends on the phone since they are all different.
