Anyone have insurance or protection on their Note 3? I've been thinking about getting a SquareTrade warranty, which is $125 for 2 years (about $5 a month and $100 deductible). The Sprint insurance, although more expensive ($11 a month and $200 deductible), covers lost or stolen phones.

Any thoughts?

I have sprints and wish I got radio shacks insurance.

Palm Treo line > Blackberry line > Samsung Galaxy S line > NOW - the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 😊

Just because the copay is getting ridiculous with sprints assurion. And the protection with water is a joke. Radio Shack is $8 a month/$100 Co pay.

Always. For couch change it is worth it

THE BEAST,,NOTE 3. SIZE IS EVERYTHING!!!

I do best buys. It's 9.99 a month and no deductible. My daughter though she dropped her phone in the toilet at work. It was stuck in the trap for a week until if backup and floated out. Washed it off and took it into best buys around 3 in the afternoon. They called me the next morning when they opened and had a replacement phone waiting for me

But you can only get it if you bought the device from there, right? I got mine from Amazon.

I though you could do it even if you got it else where but I always get my phones there. They match prices and I get a longer return deal

This plan is no longer available. It is now $15/month with $150 deductible, can only use it twice, and still doesn't cover loss. I laughed at them. It just changed last month.

Bought there only. They used to do I phones from anywhere, but not other manufacturers.

Are you saying the best buys plan is no longer available? I just got a Note 3 last week on this same plan

They changed it Oct 1. If it is back to that, it is bc the employees and customers complained. I was there the first week of October and it was the more expensive one with a deductible.

Well I didn't know it ever changed but it is even on the website. For the Note 3 it's $9.99 a month or $199 for the 2 years. I do think there is a limit of 3 for the 2 years and I think they can charge a fee but only if the phone is out of manufacturers warranty I think

I hope you are correct. I am going off of what the employee told me. Maybe it was just the iPhone warranties that went up. I am 100% positive those have always been a few dollars more a month.

whats wrong with their water damage insurance?

Sprint has updated their insurance to include water damage, but they really don't. They'll find any reason they can to not cover you. It's just games. With how much money you pay, I just don't get it.

Has anyone tried Square Trade?

I have. I went with their two year coverage. Got a 30% off coupon within a couple days of purchasing (they send them all the time as I've bought other warranties), so it was under $100. I believe the deductible is $150, but can't remember off hand. This is my 3rd warranty with them, though I've never had to use one yet. Nice thing is they are transferable, so if you sell the device you can transfer the warranty with it. Makes a nice bonus when viewing a bunch of other identical devices on Ebay or whatever for potential buyers.
