Do stores clear out the previous years models on the Nexus at lower prices?
We could see $350 or maybe $300 on black Friday but that's the lowest this phone will ever go. New phones will replace 6p in stores before this goes any lower.

Thank you for your replies!

I'm contemplating whether to get the 6P now or wait for the new Nexus. I am super duper tempted to try stock Android

A 32GB 6P is around $599 AUD right now

To those that own a 6s Plus, is the 6P larger? From what I know, it is lighter than the 6s Plus. And does the chamfered edges on the 6P lose its look over time (like the chamfered edges on the iPhone 5)?

Cheers

At 599AUD I'd just wait for the new Nexus devices to come out. They're expected to be announced end of September/beginning of October.

Edit 02:44: On top of that I don't think you're getting much of an upgrade from the 6S Plus by moving to the 6P. The 6S is still to this day one of the fastest phones on the market and handily outperforms most of this year's flagships. If the phone is faster it will undoubtedly feel like an upgrade but you won't be experiencing that if you get a 6P.

Obviously performance isn't everything - features are important. Stock Android is one of the more barebones versions of Android so in terms of additional features you're not really getting a whole load of bells and whistles compared to what you would get on Touchwiz.

With that said, the 6P is my current phone and I really like it, but if I had an iPhone 6S Plus prior to that I would not even consider "upgrading" unless I was able to sell the 6S+ at a good price.

Yeah I though so too..

Although it might take some time for the new Nexus to be available in Australia.

Get the 6p.. It's a great phone for the money..

I'm forced to use a 6plus for my work and I really despise the thing. If you rely on the ecosystem of Apple then that's a different story altogether.

I got my 6p last week and am truly impressed with how smooth and fast it is, not to mention being able to tweak it as much as I want to to my preferences..

Music plays good on BT and wired, the camera does a good job, it connects great, the screen is down right beautiful and the speakers sound great..

It's not perfect for everyone but out of all the phones I have owned it strikes me as as the best overall phone you can buy, namely because of what you can do with it over the iPhone or the majority of other Androids available right now.

You can also wait it out and pay a lot more in a few months, but I think this phone will be around for some time.

You may not be into rooting and tweaking, and if you aren't, you should see for yourself what you can have running on it if you desire to.. That's one of its greatest assets...

So I say go for it..
