Interesting contact search issue...

Hey all,

I'm having a really interesting 'problem' with my contacts.

OK, I'll start by saying that under my contact settings in the phone, the option is set to show all contacts from all accounts.

If I click on the stock contacts icon, and scroll down, the contact
/person (the word "cider" is part of it) I want to see isn't there. If I type the name on the contacts search bar, it doesn't show up either.

HOWEVER, If I click on the stock dialer/phone icon, and scroll or search for that very same contact as I tried before, it shows up just fine.

I edited the op for clarity.... I'm referring to the contact entry PERIOD. It's Like it doesn't exist if I use the first method.

For what I understand you cannot see a specific contact?

Yes. Correct. The contact "cider" will show under contacts when I click on the phone icon to locate it, but it won't be found under the contacts icon.

Also, both locations have hundreds of my contacts, so it seems that some are just missing - but everything should be pulling from the same source. Odd

I don't have an answer but can report something similar. There seem to be 2 separate Contact sections on my s7. One is in the Applications folder, is marked Contacts and has an orange color. The other Contacts comes up when I open the green phone icon, and now I have Contacts with a green color. The green ones seem to be the ones I want from my old phone. It's definitely strange.

Weird....

The only contacts that are in my phone are from my Gmail account.... This I'd definitely a mystery
