Only since Mid August about 14 of them all were using background data as well.

Turned them all off for time being they don't seem to be apart of system.

Are files created at times depending on application or downloaded content determined as apps in Android ?Polish_20210906_003540848.jpgPolish_20210906_003910911.jpg

Those are placeholders for apps you use to have but since deleted. For example, if you have a hypothetical app named "Nonsense" that used 500MB of data in a month, but then deleted it because the name was quite accurate to its quality, that 500MB still needs to be accounted for in your data usage tracker for that month. So instead of showing you info for the Nonsense app (making you think it's still installed), the usage tracker uses a placeholder with a random number to show the 500MB usage. That will disappear when the next tracking cycle begins and is no longer needed.

Ok thanks,Makes complete sense.

Why is the background data on even when you change cycle dates ?
That is data the app consumed when not actively being used by you. For example, your email app automatically checking for new emails without your interaction would be a form of background data use.

Ok so this background data use setting is just representation of the apps setting before deletion ?

The next cycle shows the apps that are restricted & enables.you to turn on background data again. Is that just system thing no value ?

That's my understanding of it.
