Intermittent Keyboard lag.

Hi Guys.

Samsung Note 9.
512Gb with 8Gb of Ram.
Oreo 8.1.0
Samsung Experience 9.5
Keyboard is stock version 3.2.01.50

Very occasionally when I've finished using the keyboard and usually use the back key to come out of messages or a forum the phones keyboard stays on my homescreen for a few seconds.

My software is up to date and I've reset the keyboard with no improvement.

I haven't cleared the phones system files or factory reset and I've not recently downloaded any apps so not tried Safe Mode.

Any ideas ?

sometimes a restart of the phone fixes issues like that.

Also - Reset to default settings : open Settings >> Back up and reset >> Find Reset
>>Reset settings >> it may ask you to Enter your-Unlock Password. Do so and
the phone will be reset..it helps to return basic functions to normal

Note : The security, Language and Account settings aren't affected. But the ring
and screen Timeout get back to default, you can modified at your choice..Bye

I opt to turn my phone Off overnight so I'm effectively soft rebooting the phone every day.

Only other thing I can think of is settings then apps ten 3 dots click on system apps to Samsung keyboard clear cache and force stop then see what happens.

Update.

So far I've tried...

Clearing the keyboard cache.
Going into Safe Mode.
Clearing the phones cache files.
Factory Reset.
Updated software.
Removing the Whitestone Dome Glass Screen Protector.
Reset settings as advised to me above

The issue persists intermittently.

It must be a software glitch somewhere.

I get that on my UK model to, I've noticed that if you select a different keyboard there's the "Samsung Keyboard Neural Beta" seems to be the same as the stick keyboard but i don't know what the difference is, so i tried that and it got rid of the lag but as soon as i go back to the normal Samsung Keyboard then the lag comes back

Are there any key differences between the beta and stock Samsung Android keyboards.

I appreciate the beta might be glitchy

I haven't found any problems yet apart from Samsung's awful text prediction which is the same in both keyboards, the one main thing that keeps me using the beta is that it doesn't freeze for a few seconds when coming out of WhatsApp like the stick keyboard does.

Might be a glitch, but download Google keyboard see if you have the same issue.

Ah no this is on the beta keyboard not the stock

Ok so I'm going to give the Samsung Beta Keyboard a go.
