Internet radio stops; must press Play to keep restarting

I listen to internet radio a lot and about every 10 minutes, the broadcast stops. If I press the Play button symbol it starts up again for another 10 minutes.
Is there a Setting somewhere on My Nexus 7 (2013) to fix this?

Which internet radio app? Try going to Settings>Apps​, select that app, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. Now try again.

It is called Talk Stream.
Followed your advice and it seems to do the trick.
Each day, I'll empty data and cache with Force Stop before listening.
Is there a way to have these steps occur automatically whenever I exit the app?

Just use it for a while without clearing the app cache and data again. It might have been some bad bit of data that was stuck in there. If it acts up again, you can always clear it at that time.
