Hi, my name is Larry if you didn't figure that out already and I'm from mid Michigan. I'm married with 3 wonderful kids ages 4,8, and 10.

My smart phone history started with the Moto Q> BB Curve > Storm 1 > BB Tour > Moto Droid :) > Dinc. I had BB for years and never thought I would ever get anything different until the day I walked in Verizon to see the new Droid they were selling and the rest is history. I dropped my BB after playing with the Droid for only 5 minutes. BB are pretty good devices but don't even come close to comparing to any Android phone IMO.

I'm very excited to get the Thunderbolt for its larger screen/keyboard, my Dinc has been a great phone but I have a hard time keeping a phone for over a year.

You're profession: Car audio, video, security installer for 14 years. I have seen/done it all. Now I mostly only do security and R&D. I work for a company that strips these cars down the second they come out and work on them for weeks at a time. I take thousands of notes and photos and then this information gets sent to aftermarket companies for development and also several databases so that other installers have cheat sheets to refer to. I also did tech support for a while.

Smartphone phone history: Wow, glad this is only smartphones. Too many feature phones. I currently have a HTC incredible and a BB 9650. I had a storm 2 that I got rid of for the inc. had it since launch day. Others - BB 8330, Omnia, Treo 700wx, vx6800

The phone you're switching from:
I have not decided that yet. I have to figure that out. Most likely it will replace my DInc tho. I will not get this phone at launch tho, I have made that mistake too many times.

Where you're from: Originally from FL but moved to DC- Capitol Hill area to finish undergrad a couple yrs ago

Your profession: Clinical/School Psych PhD Student

Smartphone phone history: Check my signature--I've been rolling with RIM since before AT&T went Cingular and every now and then I miss my SK or BBM

The phone you're switching from: D-Inc

What excites you most about the Thunderbolt!: It's everything I could ever want. I had an EVO for a little minute but I felt VZW would be getting something similar, did a search and low and behold they were plus LTE would be better than WiMax. It's a game changer for people like me who don't wanna pay an extra $10 to Sprint and are sick of Apple's Wifi only FaceTime games.

And anything else you can think of: DEAF PRIDE!

I think that this right here is one of the reasons FFC is a really great addition to the smart phone game. With the TBolt being able to stand vertically while you video chat, you can sign to your hearts content and with little to no hassle. I'm not deaf, but I took sign language in high school so I understand a little bit of the culture. This is huge, and nobody seems to point it out.
