I'm a NYC-based Systems Admin, new to the root/rom world since yesterday and loving it.
THe information provided on this site as well as on RootzWiki and xda-developers has been key to my coming on-board the adventure.
Many thanks for the guides and the wealth of information on your forums - I am already proud of being a member.
After unsuccessfully attempting for a couple of hours to receive the latest outdated OS from Verizon, I decided to check out the alternatives, and here is the result:
HTC Thunderbolt
revolutionary 0.4pre4
MR2Radio 1.39.00.0508w
Liquid 3.1
Main additions:
App Manager Pro
Go Launcher EX (still kept some Launcher Pro setting - unsure if this will prove problematic)
Touchdown 2.0 for Exchange
Prefixer - for corporate 4-digit dialing and to use a 3rd party for Intl' calls
PowerAmp
