Invalid email address error

I keep getting this msg when entering my primary email address in the email address field in forms from websites I am logged into with my primary email address, so it is valid. When I type in my Gmail email address it works fine. Never had this problem with my S3. Is it because I am logged into my Google acct on my phone and if so how do i turn that off?

Sometimes gmail is not recognised by email checking scripts

Never tried another browser other than Chrome that came stock with S6.

It works with the gmail.com address but not with my default email which is not a Google account. I am using Chrome Browser that cam stock with S6
