Invalid package error google plus

Updating of google plus failed from the market. So I uninstalled google plus then re-downloaded the new one from the market. It says "invalid package file" and install fails. Any ideas? I'd hate to reflash bumblebee and reinstall my apps or go back to a nandroid backup although I think i have one as recent as 3-4 weeks.

It could just be the market having an issue, it happens from time to time. Try again in a bit.

Tried a few different things (wiping caches, sideloading apk, installing the old version) . Decided just to backup my stuff and switch to harmonia anyway. No issues with it as of yet reinstalled fine after a wipe. I'm guessing there is a way to fix this error by deleting system files if anyone else gets the error and doesn't wanna wipe.
