I bought this for my wife to protect her canon, but never actually used it. not that it's much help... it's was a legitimate recommendation from the camera shop though.

lol thanks anyways. I'm just curious if anyone knows how it protects the sides and top and back...I saw on their website it covers the screen and lip which is great but I want to protect from scratches and dings...

Nevermind I must be tired I didn't even notice on their website in the picture that it shows the back portion also, maybe cause it's so invisible!! Haha doesn't protect the sides though? I dunno if that's any good for me.

Yeah I guess I'll wait for a GOOD case to come out. If otter boxes weren't so ugly I'd get that. Plus with the slider i dunno how a case is going to work...guess I'll wait and be careful

the invisible shield folks (zagg.com) also put out a screen only version of that shield...... ide get that and a good hip-case...

though you want to wait like 3 days after applying the film before you start putting it in any kind of case that comes in contact with the film.. i hear some stores that apply the film for you give you a brown paper bag to keep the phone in as it helps the adhesive dry and protects the phone... sounds a little ghetto to me (not that there's anything wrong with that!) but whatever works.

I've used the Invisible Shield on several products, inlcuding an iPod Touch and my BlackBerry. The thing I don't like about it is that it has a slightly rubberized feel, and it also takes away alot of the touch sensitivity. Since we're not able to adjust the sensitivity on the Droid, I'd think twice about applying it. IMO.

That and you can't use practically any case what so ever with it on. Sticks so much.

I've had these on BB's and iPod touch. I liked them but they do take away the touch sensitivity. Personally I'm leaving it off of the screen of my Droid. The screen is just so smooth and being made of glass, it's not going to sratch. Also, with my BB, I encountered the Invisible Shield turning a dingy yellowish color after months of daily use. Zagg offered to replace it for free which was nice, but since I left my BB in the dust I didn't do it.

Just my $0.02

I got it at best buy the night I got the phone. I just couldn't stand the ones that verizon sells 3 to a pack. I like it on there so far. It's staying there and it's clearer/cleaner than any other protective shield I've tried. We'll see after a few weeks though.

I have the Shield on mine, I hate having the air pockets on the phone, but I have never found anyone who is able to put it on without them. I also have VZW snap on case, or whatever you call, and that does a good job. Never went with a cover on the storm. I think that as long as you wipe it down every once and awhile with the fancy cloth you should be ok....Of course if you don't want to take the time to give your phone a nice rub down every so often, I understand....that would be a little obsessive....yes...obsessive...

I recently got the invisible shield installed at a kiosk at my local mall. It is good protection for small scratches and what not. I also have a snap on cover applied over it.

I plan to be getting the Invisible shield for the screen only. I did the same for my blackberry storm, and it worked great! Then I want to get some sort of case for the rest of the phone. I got the one from the verizon store as a temporary solution (return it within 30 days) until I can find a case that I like better. But I'm considering just going naked.
