Play Store App. Settings. "Auto-Update apps" -> Choices include "Do not update (manual only), "Auto-updates at any time", and "Auto-update only on wifi".
To do it on a per-app basis, disable all updates in settings. Then go to an individual app and open the menu (three dots in the corner)...select the "auto update" box. Only that app will be updated on auto from now on. Go to any other apps you want and check the box to add them to the auto-update list (new apps you install will have the box checked by default). Ta-daa.
You do not have to rely on google to decide what to update and when...you get to decide it yourself. If iOS decides to update something you do not want updated, you are SoL...Apple makes that decision, not you.
NO APPLE DOES NOT,I was talking about in multitasking. In multitasking to save battery iOS will automatically kill apps you don't use frequently and update your Facebook feed if you use it. Apple also has options to disable auto app updating app by app.
I have yet to come across any limits on the folders in Nova Launcher. Just as an experiment, I tried to stuff as many icons as I could in a folder on my desktop...I stopped counting at 40. It is still there though, I could test beyond that if you want. The folder is so full it has become scrollable, heh heh.
Why would you need folders on Android anyway? All your icons are already in a giant folder called the app drawer. You can take them out and put them wherever you want. Arrange them however you want. What setup (icon arrangement) are you looking for that cannot be replicated in Android?
Strange,stock I hit a limit of 20 icons.
If you enjoy being told what you like, then Apple is definitely the platform for you.
But the capability limitations you are claiming about Android are simply wrong.
So what? Android does not lock you into their stock launcher like Apple does. That is the point of Android...the phone is what YOU want it to be, not what Apple wants it to be.
Changing launchers is an example of 3rd party app integration, and is Android's killer feature over iOS. It is the reason you are never stuck with one browser or desktop or email program...any program can become the default, just like on a PC. Even Maps.
Uh huh...please give us an example of a specific setting that iOS has in the control center that is not present on the Nexus 4 or cannot be added.
3G toggle, don't see it on my Nexus 4.
That is incorrect. Tapping on a notification will launch whatever app is attached to that notification.
Are you seriously thinking I meant that?[/U]the control centre has 3 apps there camera, calculator and photos for convenience. WE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT THE NOTIFICATION CENTRE.
How long have you had the Nexus? Have you used it at all? This is basic stuff.
Samsung does not have to. All the apps that work on the Nexus work just as well on the Galaxy phones. Touchwiz is just Android with a customization skin.
Outside of the US Android's lead is dramatically higher than inside the US. Outside the US Android marketshare is over 75%.
What country do you live in? I am willing to bet most people there who have smartphones are using Android.
New Zealand. They all have crappy android phones, not flagships so that's not a fair comparison. That being said most people I've seen have iPhones.
You have failed to demonstrate it. You have not shown how iOS is actually better in any way. Most of your opinions appear to be based on incorrect assumptions about Android's capabilities.
You just can't seem to name any specifically.
I think that is really the issue...you have decided iOS ad you will never let facts get in the way of that, heh heh. You gloated about "destroying" my argument and the exact opposite has happened. Your laptop did not help you very much.
