Ipad 1 has not cast button on youtube

Okay guys, this is driving me crazy. i have a Ipad 1 that does not display the cast button when playing youtube videos. I do see the cast button on netflix, i thought it might have to do with me needing to update my youtube app, however , I cannot update my youtube to the newest version unless I have IOS 6 or above which is not compatible with Ipad 1. Does anybody else have this problem?

This has got to be the issue, you need the latest youtube app for this to work.

Are you jail broken? You might be able to try loading the newer app through a jail break. DON'T ask me how as I don't know, and there are no guarantees it would work either. Most likely you are screwed.

Chromecast requires iOS 6 or above. So yes, you're screwed.
