IPad & Chromecast - limited use

So there are only 2 apps- youtube and Netflix.
Any idea when there will be more apps?
And for now, any thing else I can do with the iPad & Chromecast?

If I understand what others are saying, Google has yet to release the SDK and/or open it to developers. Once that is done it should be relatively quick. Considering how good YouTube and Netflix works, seems like a no brainer. Play music does pretty well also.

You can watch rented or bought Google Play movies and TV shows through the YouTube app.
