As opposed to Nexus 7 buyers who bought 3.5 months ago?
There's a difference between storage capacity and revamping the internals like they did with the iPad 4. Big difference.

I dunno... think they did a pretty good job at 329. Smart to keep the same pixel dimensions of iPad2 for app compatibility. Aluminum, cameras, larger screen, thinner, lighter, more battery. Face it, Apple stuff costs more... 79 bucks over the N7 isn't that big a deal. I think it will do well.
No real remorse over my decision for an N7... but would like to see better apps soon on Android for tabs. Apple has a big head start here.

iPad 3 owner here and I'm not pleased!
A new better model is just that. At least the new ones weren't $50 cheaper. The difference is lost on me; it is to be expected in tech.
Exactly!
Oh damn! Sorry man. This has to suck. Just... Damn.

16GB N7 was $249 last I looked, and that is what I recently paid for one (actually two as the first had "assembly issues").
CHUNKY! That's the word. Kind of chugly, in fact. Its too wide. Its too expensive. It old ass tech shoved into a smaller chunky body.
N7 was $249, I'm fine with that type of product cannibalism. Some folks spent upwards of $800 for their "new" ipads 6 months ago to be told today they weresuckerssimply paying a premium as early adopters.
There's a huge difference between adding an additional 16GB to a product in 3.5 months and doubling your processing speed in a product 7 months later. The iPad 3 owners have been hosed. The Nexus 7 owners have the exact same device but with less storage, it's not the same thing at all.
While I am all for the discusion of the pros and cons of the device with respect to the N7, the fact that their stock price is following the current market trends, and that there is an improved iPad seems to have little bearing here.
It has a better front camera. A decent rear one the N7 completely lacks. Better speakers. Much better build (something I would pay the love to pay the extra $79 bucks for to get in the N7), and much better apps (at the moment - hopefully this changes soon).
I went with the N7 for GPS and the open file system and am happy with it, but I am not too stubborn to acknowledge what is better about the Apple product.

I can't help but think that they half-assed this Mini.
