Has anyone seen this yet? The iPhone X had very small bezels, plus that notch. I hate notches, tear drops and punch holes, for the record.

The Pixel 4 allegedly has a forehead that is so large, that one could park an aircraft carrier on it.

Well, the iPhone 11 (the gold standard of "premium feel", precious jewel, design magnificence and utter amazing looks) has increased the bezels,on all 4 sides, plus put a good bit of case on all 4 sides. The bezels are not all black, but there is for sure quite a bit of metal around the bezels, that are there now.

Which do folks prefer? This not a troll, by the way, I am not saying anyone's preference is right or wrong, but I love to know.

The iPhone 11 is chunky. That bezel is bigger. I prefer the space station sized forehead over the bezel plus notch, personally.

I prefer the P4 top bezel over the notch - if I were profiling your post, I'd say your use of adjectives is either trolling or drama queening - your post your choice

I am being a little tongue in cheeky over the lists on BGR and the Verge. No one here.

The BGR acts like the Pixel has a foreheads so big them space shuttle can landing on it. Lol! I can't believe some of the stuff they are writing over there.

I decided to look up the iPhone for my son and I was shocked at how the border was.

AH HA - so BGR is the trolling drama queeing culprit - I knew some one was.

This place is pretty good at sticking to the facts without getting all fancy smancy dancy about it - :)

It is a great time for phone choices - each of us has our preferences - respect for others' likes/dislikes goes a long way - especially when mixed with a little tongue in cheek harassment.

Are you getting your son an iPhone?

I think so. He has Apple music and that kind of thing, so probably.

The new iPhone has some decent tech, I just hate that notch. I mean, I lothe notches.

IMO... You can't really compare the 2. It should be 11 pro to a P4... Unless the 11 looks exactly like the 11 pro.

But I'm a pixel guy, I'm more interested in the features than the aesthetic

I don’t mind the notch but aesthetically the Pixel 4 looks better (the slim bezel on top is perfectly fine, and the side bezels aren’t as thick as on the iPhone 11).

Plus in real life the FHD+ OLED will appear much better than the sub 1080p LCD used on the 11.

The 1080p LCD choice is baffling. Why such an inferior screen on such as allegedly premium company?

I have yet to see any tech site losing their mind over the iPhone's notch like they are about the Pixel 4's bezels.

Honestly neither a notch or bezel bother me if the space is used for stuff like FaceID and front facing speakers.

The 11 is the "mid-range" phone. The successor to the Xr. The 11 Pro is the premium.

Any phone that costs over $650 should really have an OLED display and/or at least FHD resolution. OnePlus, Huawei, Samsung etc all do it..

Yep. Apple keeps claiming it’s the ‘best LCD in the industry’...but you don’t see LCD displays on $550+ Android devices and even the budget models have FHD ones

I thought it was 1080p, ifi t's 720p, that's just trash then.

It's neither - it's actually 1792 x 828, slightly better than 720 but not 1080. It is not a great screen in my opinion, but since most people that go to the XR or 11 are probably coming from older LCD iPhone screens, they aren't noticing any difference.

I agree. Apple could easily have included an OLED display, especially at that price.

But then they would not have enough distinguishing factors to justify the "pro" model, other than the third camera.
