IPhone 11 Pro to Note 10+

Even if you dont use the S pen often, you can write on the screen with it while off ,jot down a note ,phone number and later view it in S notes , even shopping items to write down . It's there if you need and tucked away if you dont . Also acts as a selfie stick put phone down some where take photos bluetooth pen .

Definitely my #1 use for it.

With all the tools that there are now such as Google apps to sync photos across devices with a bit of work I think I'm fine. I've found there's always a way lol. I really am liking the phone so far.
Haven't found much use for the pen yet. But I'd like to get into multitasking for sure!

Truly, once it's updated for Android 10, you are really going to love GoodLock's plug ins. My favorite feature from those is that you will be able to drag a pop-up notification and automatically open said app in a floating window, thus, never leaving what you're already doing. My iPaddy and iFun friends see me do that and they AAAALWAYS ask 'how can I do that!!??'.

Aibocyrus... congratulations on your new device. I'm sure over time you will be flowing and fluid.
Glad you were informed about Samsung's GoodLock app, too... great apps within it. Read the updated version for Android 10 releases on Feb3.
Yes, this is a wonderful forum indeed! :-) Glad to assist!
You also stated: "...as i do have factime still turned on, however, on my ipad. Will this cause an issue with receiving calls?" No not AFAIK.
BTW, There is a great Google app that can do video calls in place of FaceTime called Google Duo on the phone, or since you're on VZ, use their built in video calling. It's decent.
Then yout stated: "...am on VZ and i will check out the messages+. There really is only one downside i am seeing right now to this phone and that is that my partner has an iPhone, does not get cell service at their house, only WiFi, and doesnt want to have to download a secondary app for texting. Which i totally get. It would be annoying to have to have an app just to text one person. We do both use WiFi calling..." So, VZ's Messages+ app works over WiFi too which is why I left Samsung's texting app (which I now hear can work over WiFi as well).
Agreed about having to download multiple apps to do the same thing... hopefully you'll find one that does it all decently for you; your partner and yourself can practice telepathy. LoL!
Good luck! Peace
PS: as weird as this app is, it could be a solution for your partner and yourself too (albeit another app to download) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.bridgefy.main

I have both phones and prefer the iPhone. The typing is way better, the app selection is better, the app Quality is better too. I like that all the photos I've ever taken are just synced, never having to worry about backing them up or loading them. Android is much better then it was but iOS is still way more polished if you ask me.
That's the key word with iOS over android. It's more polished.

I have both iPhone 11 Pro Max and Note 10+ and Customization is the reason why I prefer the Note.

Thank you so much for your reply and app suggestions! All things to try! Thank you again for taking the time to write!

How are you liking the Note 10 plus?? I left the Note for the iPhone 11 Pro Max and I’m kinda missing the note now. Played with one in Best Buy today and now I’m thinking about selling my Pro Max and series 5 watch to get the note and active 2....

I started with Note 10 +, switched to a Pro Max, had a brief affair with a Galaxy Fold and just purchased a Note 10+ on swappa today. Having used both, the note is by far the more interesting and feature packed phone. One thing people don’t mention is that the notes screen is noticeably bigger. It helps with media and rendering of web pages. There absolutely are advantages to an iPhone but the Note is at least equal to me. The hardware is certainly better in the Note. Only thing I will miss is the killer battery on the pro max.

Thank you for the response. What’s your opinion on the camera between the 2... I wish I could use them side by side for a day ugh.

I’m not a big camera user but the pro max camera seems noticeably better for things like bokeh effect and night shots. While the note camera is fine, the pro max is superb so if that matters to you, you may be better off with the iPhone. For the handful of pictures I take of my kids a month, the note is more than adequate.

Also there are probably dozens of comparison reviews by professionals so definitely don’t take my word for it!

My only hang up is still that the note camera blurs objects if they move slightly while a picture is being taken and i just cant get past that. It’s really disappointing to me because i like everything else about the phone. But the camera is a huge deal to me. Note 10 plus is honestly a marvel of a phone. And that can not be overlooked.

I do take quite a few pictures and like them to come out right. So is the camera, in your opinion bad enough to return it and go back to the iPhone

Taking pictures of moving things is a challenge on iPhone pro too. Pixel seems to do better job in all of them.

Turn off HDR alaways on and try to use Auto mode as little as possible (or adjust the brightness slider down a bit). Samsung goes for brighter shots, so the shutter time is usually longer than most phones (ergo, blurry fast-moving subjects). You can get past this using either Pro mode (I really do miss when they used to have a Sports mode that automatically set the exposure time to much lower levels).

Also, you already got it...but for others asking if they should do it, I'd reaaaaally wait if you can. The S11/S20 is a a hair over a month away... Anything S10 and Note 10 will either be discounted or have some new enticing bundles/promos (or you might just go for the new non-Note one if the pen isn't your thing).

I always have the latest Galaxy, Pixel and iPhone, and it comes down to personal preference. All are great phones but my main phone is iPhone 11 pro max and Apple watch. If the Apple watch was not there my main phone could have been Pixel 4 XL or Note 10. Does that mean it's the same for everyone? Absolutely not and it's just my preference and if someone says nope you can only have iPhone 11 or Pixel or Galaxy, I would absolutely be happy with any of them.

iPhone - Just about the ecosystem and the Apple watch is cherry on top. And as usual the phone is great as well.
Pixel - Something about Pixel, I always love them and enjoy using them even with all the complaints reviews and people have.
Galaxy - All round champ, spec monster and can never go wrong with them.

I was thinking this idea as well. My girlfriend doesn’t really use the S-pen so she may get the S20 and I’ll sell my Apple stuff and buy a Note 10+ hopefully at a nice discount and run it till the Note 20 or whatever it’s called comes out

This here is why I tried the Note 10 and sent it back. My Pixel takes awesome pictures of moving people and pets. The issue is the Note completely mops the floor with the Pixel in every other feature.

That's really been my only gripe with my Note 10 (and previous Samsung phones). Took a couple pictures of my kids with my mom's iPhone X, and it dealt with movement so much better. I'm we're going to see that change in 2020.

When you're trying to get quick shots of kids (which seems to be what gives most people issues in terms of the blur), this is not at all ideal.
