Iphone 4s Battery Drain

Except for the fact that my old (and now unusable due to VZW errors in not being able to figure out SIM cards - my mom is now happy with her Droid 3 and my old TBolt is back to VZW) Thunderbolt's battery drained WAY worse than my iPhone 4S ever has. Much ado about nothing in my opinion, I haven't had any battery problems. Oh, but if I were, Apple is releasing an update that is being publicly beta tested by developers right now and will be available shortly. Never got that kind of response from HTC or VZW. Like I have said before, there is something to be said for letting one company take control of your device. I don't have to root it to fix the problems myself.

BTW, if the water is so warm, wouldn't it be melting your Ice Cream Sandwich? Oh, you don't have that. ;)

Sorry to be mean O:-)

LOLOLOL...Need a little warmth to cook the Gingerbread....mmmmmm.

My point is that there where all these fanbois (I know a few), that where saying "My iPhone is perfect....worry free"....then this!....now they are one of us. The only thing Apple will do better than HTC is put out a fix faster....but we have DEV's to do that for us....and if you don't want to root, then don't...that is your choice...but, if I know that it will fix a problem, I will root....and I have.....se la ve!

Your iphone 4s still doesn't do voice and data at the same time :P

Jesus. I don't quite understand the partisanship of mobile operating systems. Both Android and ios are good choices and both have their own pros and cons. Expecting ANY hardware or software release to be without flaws is daffy. That goes for both the apple fanboys and those who "laugh" here.

Thank you!

Now can we quit with the "iFonz suxx0rz!" threads and go back to talking about the good and bad of something else.

Here's a suggested topic... Thunderbolts.

No, but my iPhone doesn't drop its data connection like the Thunderbolt. Plus it has the latest OS available on the platform. :D

Plus I see HTC just made the TBolt obsolete with the Rezound. I'd sure hate to feel abandoned like that...

Yeah, we know that's true. But it's still fun to poke fun at Apple :) Oh... you don't have to call me Jesus. :D

LOLOL....my Thunderbolt can beat up your iPhone :D

Android's has the best OS Codenames.....Eclair, Donut, Froyo, Gingerbread, Ice Cream Sandwich, Honeycomb (tablet only...I know)....now I am hungry!. :p

without iPhone vs Droid there would be no innovation so I like seeing people compare the two and then say o we need this or it's coming. It keeps things going.

With that said, neither sucks. Both have pro's and cons and it all depends on the user. I will agree that the android OS's have great codenames. :)

I wouldn't call any 4G phone "abandoned". While battery life is less than any iphone, data will always be faster as well as 3G + voice. Not to mention a 4.3 inch screen is always better than a little screen.

Just my opinion.

I don't think it's limited to iPhones. My fourth generation iPod Touch is a year old and it used to have really great battery life. Now, on iOS 5, it's burning through battery like I've never seen before. I've turned down the screen brightness and turned off the "set time zone by location" option (among other things), and it still sucks down battery. I think it's actually become worse over the last two weeks. This isnt like the antenna thing where Apple placated everybody. It's a serious problem that Apple needs to fix ASAP.

On the plus side, my beloved T-Bolt with its extended battery can easily make it 36+ hours without a charge. Gingerbread really improved things on that front. Just in time for when I upgrade to a Galaxy Nexus though.

I am on iOS 5 with an iphone 4. I get ONE FULL day between charges, that is 24 hours on the stock battery with heavy usage. I am not experiencing any problems with iOS 5. Some are, but I bet the majority are not. Most of those who complain, do so on forums. Those who have no problems remain silent.

1) my phone doesn't drop signal... ever
2) my phone is running Gingerbread 2.3.7... Android 3.2.1 isn't available for phones
