iPhone 5 has Google voice response.

So, helped a family member get herself an iPhone 5. While setting it up, I noticed their App store has a Google Search app that includes voice recognition (as we do) and also Google voice response. WTF ... I have an Android phone, and I don't even have that. What a surprise to me.

All in all, I can see why these folks like the phone. It really is quite polished.

Google profits from having its Apps on other OS', simple as that.

It's available on Jellybean (or Jellybean-based ROMs) if you want that feature.

Haven't seen a good JB rom for my Rezound, and the phone is doomed to rot thanks to HTC & Verizon. It is quite upsetting to be left behind so quickly. Meanwhile, these iPhones are getting all the Google toys.

Please let me know how it goes, Wanda. I haven't had time (or, overwhelming reason) to root yet, really. I will when a really good JB Rom arrives with full camera, camcorder support.

I have the Rezound and my google search has voice. Go to settings/language & keyboard and under keyboard & input methods check the box for google voice typing. There are other voice settings further down also.

Are you saying that Google speaks? Or, are you referring to the way you speak to Google Search?

I'm lacking the former, not the latter. Google speaking answers is baked into Jelly Bean.

Yeah, I upgraded all my pcs to win 8 at $15 per pc, can't beat that.
