iPhone 6 to Galaxy S9+ - photos out of order, in wrong album.

I recently switched from an iPhone 6 to Galaxy S9+. I transferred my thousands of photos over using Smart Switch, and my photos got all messed up! My albums now contain some album photos and some bunch of random photos that were not previously in the album. In addition, many of my photos in the general photo tab are appearing in the totally wrong order, making it difficult to find pictures I want to reference. Is there any way to fix this? I'm using the Gallery app that came on the phone. Most old photos are only viewable under the "pictures" tab, not the "albums" tab (except for the ones that were in specific albums, but even those are a toss-up because it's such a random selection in the albums!). I also have an SD card in my phone, if it makes a difference.
