Iphone to Note 10 plus - Any tips for backups / syncs / transfers etc?

Moving to a note 10 plus which hopefully will arrive tomorrow.

Am using google drive to transfer photo's and contacts etc, What's best for backups and what program should I use to transfer text messages?

Any other tips would be appreciated.

Use Samsung Smart Switch to transfer everything from your iPhone.

You can use Google photos, Samsung cloud ,smart switch ,Google back up.. I use every one .

Thanks, I couldn't get the smart switch app on windows 10 to see my iphone.

Also thought it would just create a folder for the photos on google drive so I uploaded both mine and my wife's phone but now it's mixed all the photo's together...... Will use smart switch for the photos and then figure out sms.

If you want to transfer you'll need to use smart switch on the phone .. once you want make back up on your Note 10 then you use smart switch on the computer , I know it's little confusing. But

I've got about 37gb of photos best to use the cable or wireless? I saw the Samsung website suggested wireless for large transfers.

Also for iCloud equivalent nightly backups - best to use Google drive or something else?

Can do it wireless definitely
Your note 10 will have Google photos and drive on it so just log in with same email as u did on your iPhone Google drive and make sure you set both Google drive and photos to sync. You can make a Samsung account in it's app to create cloud backup there also.

I screwed up the Google photo backup and combined mine and my wife's so will do manual phone transfer. Luckily wasn't really using iCloud for much on my iPhone, mainly Google
