IPv6 address assignment uses SLAAC not DHCPv6 over WiFi

After days of searching and searching and hours of support calls and even gabbing it up with the Sprint guy at my local RadioShack, I finally had to discover it myself after unlocking my RA server to allow for both stateful *and* stateless and, pow, up it comes... a real global-scope ipv6 addy.

Still, a working dhcpv6 client would make management much easier.

IT pros blast Google over Android’s refusal to play nice with IPv6 (Jun 23, 2015) htt p://ww

For a guy who says this should just work, he's very wrong. *ANY* well managed network migrating to IPv6 will disable SLAAC in favor of DHCPv6 by setting the managed flag in the RA server. His claim that this "just works " is highly false, frustrating and lacks any easily discovered documentation regarding Android's non-standard behavior.
