IR blaster return?

I loved my IR Blaster. It wasn't enough to keep me from upgrading to the S7 (and now the S8) but I really wish they would bring it back.

Your statement is right on. Now let's take a little survey. How many Samsung users that HAVE and USE the ir blaster, use the stock app "peel smart remote" ?
There are dozens of ir blaster apps in the play store for Android. I have tried most and use what's best for my needs.
If I could rate ir apps, Samsung's stock "peel smart remote" would be at the very bottom of the list, would have zero star rating, the lowest score, the worst remote, the most adds, the hardest to use, doesn't work with all devices, on screen widget pop-ups that can't be removed. Wait, isn't the stock "peel smart remote" what Samsung uses to determine how many users use the phones ir blaster?

Sheesh! Give me a freaking break Samsung!! Get some beer drinking Texans to help with what's best used in your phones!

Tis a shame both LG and Samsung have seeming abandoned the IR blaster. I liked using it as a universal remote

While I didn't use the IR blaster on my S6 very often, it did come in handy when I did. Shame to see it disappear from the S7 and now the S8.

GUYS, GO TO SAMSUNG'S WEBSITE AND UNDER SUPPORT, GO TO THE CHAT SUPPORT, I JUST FINISHED TALKING TO ONE OF THE AGENTS AND I ASKED THEM TO PLEASE BRING BACK THE IR BLASTER AND SHE SAID SHE VALUES CUSTOMERS LIKE THIS AND SHE WILL LET THE DEVELOPMENT TEAM KNOW RIGHT AWAY. IF WE ALL ASK THEM TO BRING IT BACK I THINK THEY MIGHT.... (I also have the chat saved if you want me to post it)
