IRC Client with notifications

I'm looking for an IRC client for my Droid Incredible that does Notifications for highlights.

I have AndChat, and it works well, but the notifications require exact matches with beginning and trailing spaces. For example, picking "whisper" as a highlight would notifiy on whisper, but not whispers [whisper] and other such combinations.

What I'm looking for is highlight matching based on a group of characters inside and/or in front of another group of characters. For example, notifying a highlight of being able to plug in [whisper] as a highlight and get notifies from results like 15:45[whisper][person] or [whisper][person].

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hey dont know if you are still curious but i came across the question by searching for the same thing. I just found AndChat, which allows a number of different notification schemes including highlight

For my purposes I actually use both AndChat and AndroIRC logged into the same channel.

AndChat allows highlighting but will only notify on exact matches. So if you have a nick that is often referred to with a shorter version (as Malific I am often called Mal or Mali) AndChat will require a separate highlight for each variation.

AndroIRC will notify a highlight even if it's part of something else (what I was looking for). So I could highlight Mal and it would notify me on all three of my name variants... however, while this was exactly what I needed for specific highlights, it was impractical for my name as using mal will also notify on other words... like 'normal'

Anyway my problem is solved, thank you for your post and hopefully this will help others that search for it as well.
