ROM porting?

What would be required to port a GSM rom? Would it just be the addition of the radios?

If there is anyone porting any of the GSM roms, I think it would be a great service to the community if you write a guide, or document steps you are taking to do so.

Maybe start a thread where you document your process so we can follow along step by along the way maybe help out with to speed up the development.

I don't mean you wait until you successfully finish building the rom, but do it while you are doing. You might call it a developers diary or something :D

if you do we would all sing your praises!!!!! And if you don't...well. LOL just playing.

Really hoping to learn up on this development stuff this year been playing with android for 2 years now and really want to start digging in deeper.

I honestly would like to see the camera apk from the epic and other galaxy s devices ported over with its framework.. If the app itself can be ported with minimal adjustments to the NS4G framework, I see no reason to change the stock roms that much, it is REALLY fast with netarchy's kernel, maybe just adding some flavor with power controls in the pull down notification curtain. After that, its mainly just theming and adding your own apps. Lets not forget the nexus s is a bareboned stock AOSP ROM thats got alot of zzziiiiip, pretty much all we've ever wanted (except for the SenseUI fanboys)
