Oh, I didn't think about the 2 year contract requirement for BOGO. may not be worth it.

I am thinking a Samsung S4 might be the best all around phone for them.

- Well honestly I didn't use my GalNex that much as I was constantly swapping between phones. I think the longest stretch that I used my Nexus for was maybe a month and a half before switching out. Plus, I'm sure you can get through half a day with 4 extended batteries, no? Haha. I only keep it around because I love the design of the device. It seems like many of the issues people had with it was after they were using it for a long time. I didn't get the opportunity to experience any of that...

- The S4 may be the best bet. Large screen and you can turn on Easy Mode if necessary.

I had my mom on my plan, when she realized how expensive it would be for her to upgrade to a smartphone she just went prepaid. Maybe that'd be a good option for your folks so you could keep your unlimited, they can get smartphones, and you're not stuck on a new two year agreement.
