Is AT&T re-enabling disabled bloat on updates?

Hi all,

So att gives us this obnoxious remote app even though I don't use their TV service, I disabled it and I see it shows an update was available even though it's disabled.

Once updated it was running again and showing the annoying remote in the notification shade.

What the hell AT&T

Can it be disabled after the update?

But that's dirty pool if they are going to re-enable their bloat after I disabled it

I do not use direct TV so I should not be forced to give up my space in the shade for their remote.
