Is Digits a Battery Hog?

Recently started using Digits. Today I noticed my remaining battery was way lower than it should be. After sitting in my backpack, unused for only 30 minutes, it was at 83%. I looked into the battery usage in settings and Digits was listed first even before Android OS. I'm about ready to dump Digits if this is going to keep happening. Anyone else experience this?

Yes, I read some of the complaints after posting my question...the exact opposite order I should have taken.
