Is Google Now really bad for your privacy?

I am also very sceptical about it. The question I ask to everyone is would they agree to having a tracking chip implanted in them so that the party involved knows exactly where you are and what you are doing. In reality, isn't Google Now exactly this?

A little extreme comparison I think. I can turn off Google, even leave my phone turned off or at home. In the end, you either choose to share this info or you choose not to.

I don't mind that Google has this and that my phone knows everywhere I have been. I could see it being harmful if someone very controlling got my phone. It's sad that there are people like that.

I have Google Now shut off for three reasons: Battery drain, worthless (for me) and privacy concerns.

there are ways to limit your info going to google. Sign off Google now. Don't update location in maps, Uncheck Ad-mob, Uncheck improve youtube, Disable personal results,Disable location history,Disable Search history and close google+. Of course those not going to make your 100% private but anyway those option in there and they can be turned off.
