Is google pixel display problem real?

I think that's generally the consensus. I would like it brighter, but it's not worth returning or saying it's "bad".

The only time this will hit hard is when you take that awesome photo and wanted to check how it has come out - that is incredibly hard with the not so bright screen.

Is google pixel display problem real? Is it too dim to view in sunlight and what about the battery life

For me the display gets pretty bright even in sun light. As far as battery goes, I would have liked a little more juice but I'm getting good battery life

Isn't that part of the reason for forums? We're here to talk and share our experiences, and discuss things with other people who have the same phones and interests. Also, I think this is a very important topic. I've been getting a lot of questions about the brightness and seeing

That wasn't the point of post, though it may seem that way.
@Mustand7757 knows what I mean.

Some people can't be happy unless their screen is capable of searing their retinas at 400 paces. Even though they would never use that level of brightness.

The screen on the Pixel 3 is gorgeous, and it's more than bright enough.

I feel like I'm in the minority here, but I don't like using my phone at full brightness unless I absolutely have to.

There are valid issues sure, but there are lots of people who don't even own the device and talk as if it is the worst device ever made. And as far as reviewers majority of them know less than most people in these kind of forums and most of the time they are looking for clicks/views based on what their analytics say and is trending. They are not making reviews/videos in the best interest of the viewer.

That's my opinion and everyone is entitled to their own

Even with the issues it has, MKHD podcast with joe Rogan confirms its his fav phone ever. Acknowledges all the complaints other have but doesn’t ruin his experience with the phone and that’s great news. Personally it seems ppl are more interested in trying every device and hoping it beats the last, when truth is not every phone is for every person.

That's the thing though, no matter how good something is, people always wish it was better or had more of something. If a phone gets 2 day battery life, they wish it had 3, if it had 3, they wish it had 4, etc, etc.

Err..sorry..no not from tech nerds here. Display clearly is not well lit and bright as my iPhone XS Max or S9+. I am not sure how else I can put it but if you remove yourself being a fan of the Pixel or any other phone and compare them, you will clearly see what we mean here. Again, not saying this is a problem just that acknowledging Pixel 3XL display is not as bright as it can be.

Tech Nerd here:
There's a clear difference between bright as it can be and need be. I don't think I want a display as bright as it can be, just bright enough to do the job. If you feel that it needs to be brighter that's on you and whoever else feels that way. I've compared all the displays from every brand and don't see an issue with any of the ones you mention.

I for one cannot understand how one can miss such a basic thing as in how bright your screen gets based on different lighting conditions, lol.

I think I could just say Pixel display is the best and close this thread, lol.

Well, I don't think anyone is saying that it's the brightest screen in 2018. Just that it's a good and bright panel. I mean, does it need to be as bright as a halogen headlight for it to be satisfactory?

I want it lit up like a baseball field 😁

And nobody compared to wanting it to be as bright as a halogen headlight! Exaggerating it doesn’t help.

The point is when you compare with others you will notice it without a second look if you are not too biased towards Pixel.

No, that's your point. The fact that the panel isn't as bright as a competive device is of little consequence as long as it's functional for the individual user. That's not a problem that needs to be solved.

Let's not make it personal. I presented my point of view and I didn't miss a thing. My Pixel is set between 40 and 50 based on the adjustment slider under normal lighting conditions. When I go out into bright conditions it's adjust to 100 percent and I have no trouble reading the screen. I don't need it to be as bright as any other device. If that's your thing, the Pixel is simply not for you. No one ever suggested it was the brightest screen in creation.
