Is it better to NOT update Note 4 beyond Kit Kat?

Merry Christmas everyone!

I've heard some bad things about Lollipop updates for the Note 4 and right now I have a brand new unit (meaning it's still on Kit Kat). Should I update to Lollipop at all, and what kind of bugs to expect if I decide to?

My Note 4 is around 7 months old and I updated to Lollipop 5.01 while I was setting the phone up for first use, so I never really tried kitkat out on it. As I was waiting for the 5.1.1 version of lollipop, I decided to revert to Kitkat (via Odin)just to see if there was any difference in performance/battery life etc.. and there wasn't, in fact I preferred lollipop so I re-installed it and the it updated OTA to 5.1.1
No issues here, although I do find with alot of intense usage it's hard on the battery (what phone isn't? ) so I bought another battery, simple!
Enjoy the phone
Merry Christmas ☺

I updated to 5.01 when it was first released on my Note 4 and Note Edge but quickly went back to KitKat on both. I've had extra batteries for each phone but still preferred the battery life I get on KitKat. Haven't even wanted to try 5.1.1 or whatever is the latest.

The only phone I still use as of now is the Note Edge.

Kitkat f,sure unless your device is T-mobile.
Their version of 5.1.1 is perfection upgrade if avalible

Update straight to 5.1.1, the 5.0.1 FWs were very buggy.

Yes. 5.0 is buggy, but 5.1.1 is too good. I think it is definitely better than Kitkat.

Are you referring to the T-Mobile version of Lollipop 5.1.1 because if that's the case, I should let you know the device in question is a 910F (in Europe) bought off contract? Thanks for the info so far.

Nope, I'm talking about 5.1.1 for Unlocked Note 4s.

I have the same model, N910F, running the German Unlocked 5.1.1.

My last Lollipop phone wasn't a Note 4 but I will say that the battery drain bug never got resolved for me even after 5.11. I was very glad to be finished with L.
