Is it normal to see an error when searching for firmware updates?

I know that the update is being slowly rolled out so may not be available for my device however I'm wondering if it is normal for me to see the following error whenever checking for firmware updates manually:

An error occurred while trying to update your Firmware. Please try again later.

If the problem persists, please call customer care.

Error: Unknown Error

This has been the case ever since my first manual check which was shortly after the last auto-update arrived. I get similar errors trying to update profile and PRL.

Is this normal and nothing to worry about and I'll just get the update when it finally rolls out for my phone or is there actually something wrong that I'll have to talk to Sprint about?

My phone is rooted so I guess I may need to undo that before I end up taking it to Sprint or anything so avoiding that would be useful

I don't know if it's normal or not but mine does this as well for system, prl, firmware updates etc. I also got the error after I performed the update it prompted me for but everything seems to be working fine so far.

Well I just got the prompt to install the new update and it installed and applied, then did the update check and showed the error again. So I guess the updating is working just some issue with manual checks that are broken or something.
