Is it normal?

[Android Central Question]

I have been using my S21 mobile for 3 months. I'm very happy with it, but I'm disappointed with one thing: I've been using it in a Spigen case since day one, and I've taken it out a few times to clean the phone and case. However, I noticed that small, tiny wear and scratches appear on the frame of the phone (if I look under the light).
Is this normal? Is anybody else experiencing this?

I have tried to move your post to the S21 forum, but no go.

I imagine that specks of grit could get inside the case and cause trouble. Certainly, fine scratches on phones are not unusual, even when treated kindly.

Normal when using a case. Unless you frequently remove it and clean the case and phone of debris, it will collect in the case and cause scratches on the glass body.

Not an S21 owner but my S7 and N8 got scratched up inside the case by sand/grit that worked it's way in.

I still haven't bought a case for my N20 Ultra so no issue there but it did get the worst scratch I've ever had on a phone as a result.

Yep cases are more for protecting the phone from major damage than keeping it pristine.

Yes my last phone had a case on from fresh out the box. Took it out the case to photograph it to sell after around 18 months and the sides were covered in scratches, some surprisingly deep. It was one of those silicon style cases so maybe not the tightest fit making it easy for stuff to get in. On my s21u I have the Samsung leather case which is a good tight fit and I check it regularly and wipe it out in case it happens again. So far so good no scratches. Yet....
