Is it OK to switch the cable to charge my Samsung Galaxy tab a as long as i use the same adapter?

I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy tab a and the cord is very short. I purchased a 6 for adapter cord. It is charging fine I was just wondering if it is bad for my tablet.

As long as I get your question, you are using same adapter for two different devices. Right?

I think you should use the adapter which came with the box
different adapters have different output voltages according to the device . This may effort your battery.
