I have always purchased my phones directly rom the sprint store. Now I am trying to get an Evo. I just got comfortable with the possibility of Best Buy (although they don't have them in).
While at the mall today I stopped by a sprint kiosk. The girl siad she just got notice they would be getting some in tomorrow.
So, before I buy...is there any reason I shouldn't deal with a kiosk??

Well, you could have problems anywhere. Just read some of the threads and you can see that. But I have bought phones from Sprint kiosks in the past and never had a problem.

They more then likely are a retailer and nota "sprint corporate store". I haven't had a great experience with those kiosks myself. I go to radioshack because I don't have to wait for a rebate. If they won't take the rebate off the price right there I wouldn't do it. They are not Sprint. Unless ofc you can't live without one.

Personally, I would avoid the mall kiosks at all costs. I've had bad experiences with them when I was with T-Mobile. And when I tries to bypass the kiosk and go to the corporate store they wouldn't help me because the kiosk wasn't corporate, they are just 3rd party dealers I guess.

My friend just got an EVO from best buy I think they are a safer bet than the kiosk.

Personally, I don't see any problem with those retailers at all.

I have used a Sprint kiosks on nearby malls several times with no problem at all regarding activation, warranty, service or return policy; if you still unsure, you can clarify their warranty and return policies before purchasing.

I have purchased several phones from a Sprint kiosk. I never encountered a problem. They were even easy to deal with when I changed my mind about the phone I purchased and asked for an exchange. Go for it!

I have to wait until July 19th to get my Evo... somehow my premier membership was transferred to my husband but I got it transferred back to me, just have to wait for a billing cycle.

My Evo purchase was mt first non official sprint store experience in over 10 yrs. Id give it a neutral review. Their billing to my card say "imobile", not sprint (which is surprising because due to the exclusive product, signs etc, I REALLY thought it was a mini sprint store)

In the end of the day I DID get my evo, but the date they gave me for "my shipment" changed two weekend in a row, and Im pretty sure if I wasn't as persistent as I was ( I work in the same mall), Id still be waiting. That said, I doubt this is a problem exclusive to non retail locations; I realize this is a hot product. I guess Ive been really lucky in the past...

Rebates depend WHERE YOU LIVE.

I dont know why everyone thinks if you go to a sprint store you have to get mail in rebate. There are PLENTY of markets in the USA where you dont have to mail in rebates. Corporate stores YES. But the majority of sprint stores and kiosks ARE NOT corporate.

If you live in midwest... Iowa, IL, IN, PA, OH, TN, VA and you go to any of my companies kiosks you get INSTANT REBATE pricing on all handsets as long as you live in the market.

Kiosks are ABSOLUTELY FINE. Theres nothing different about them( other than you wont have a repair center in one) , It makes alot of business sense for a retailer to have 1-2 brick and mortar stores in one town and to have kiosks and satellite stores in different malls and shopping centers to expand.

I dont know why everyone leghumps radio shack and best buy they sell phones from all carriers and most of them don't care what you buy unless they get the most commission. Thats like going to Walmart to buy a phone.

Key word T Mobile

You should have no problem at all. Sprint activation should be the same. You just might need to go to a corporate store for repair work or exchange if you have any issues. I haven't with my evo. You will love yours too.

just went on an interview at a sprint kiosk an should be getting called to start next week. The day I went in for the interview they just got another shipment of evo's in and were setting up peoples phones and nobody had any problems. If anything the kiosk is better because they have to make more sales that an actual store so they tend to do more for you and be more flexible.

I live in VA and every time I've purchased something from a Sprint store that had a rebate it was ALWAYS a mail in rebate.
