is it possable to reduce the os storage space

[Android Central Question]

I have a SM-T280 and the latest os and updates I was wondering is how to reduce the size of the os due to it taking 3.2gb of space which leaves about 700mb for other storage I only have 2-3 apps installed

Welcome to Android Central! No, you can't reduce how much the OS takes up. i agree with fuzzylumpkin, get a new tablet with at least 64 GB storage.

I'm going to second the new tablet suggestion. In addition to the lack of space, with only Android 5.1.1 you're going to see app compatibility dwindling to almost nothing as Google is no longer supporting the API for an OS of that age.
