Is it possible to disable initial Verizon software install drive mapping?

Every time I plug my Galaxy S4 into my Windows 7 Pro USB to retrieve pictures I am first presented with a drive letter containing Verizon install software. After a minute or so I hear the USB disconnect sound and the drive letter goes away. After a few more seconds I hear the USB connect sound and my phone appears as a device. From there I can navigate to my dcim directory and move my pictures. Is there any way to disable the initial Verizon software install mapping?
