Hi, Ive seen a couple of bad esn galaxy note 2 phones on ebay that seem like a bargain, is it possible to use them in the uk? I dont mind having to go through some extra steps to get them to work .eg rooting etc.

"Yes it will. The ESN is only bad as far as Sprint is concerned. Also you won't be using the ESN (CDMA) you'll be using the IMEI (GSM) and your SIM card. You'll be fine
@ New York Inc - The Samsung Galaxy 2 is a dual radio CDMA/GSM/HSPA phone, which DOES accept SIM cards moron.

Incorrect moron. While the US Sprint/Verizion Note II are in fact dual mode GSM/CDMA only the Verizon model has an unlocked and removable Sim card. All Sprint LTE phones excluding the iPhone 5, have embedded non-removable Sim cards. It would require a hardware mod to swap sims on the sprint version. *****.
