Like you Bkdodger1, I have not felt the need to root a phone for about 6 years. I might consider it if a phone had reached EoL, (End of Life), and I wanted to install a custom ROM.It's been a long, long time since we've rooted any phones around these parts. In my opinion, recent phones just run so much smoother and there are so many small options to customize and make it your own.
100% agree here. I would do it for fun. Really breathe some life into an old phone but my idea of an old phone is a year and a halfLike you Bkdodger1, I have not felt the need to root a phone for about 6 years. I don't root anymore I really don't have a need to
Let me correct thatSo glad to hear that!

"Riot", was funnier.Let me correct that![]()

Plus I used to stay up all night trying to get it perfect as to how I wanted it. I am too old for that
Not to mention most banking apps and Google wallet will not work on a rooted phone.Rooting can still be worth it if you want full control, allowing things like uninstalling bloatware, customizing system features, or running apps that need deep access. Day to day, it’s mostly about convenience and tweaks, like better backups, ad-blocking across apps, or automation you can’t do unrooted. The trade-off is extra care with updates and security, but for power users it can make your phone feel truly yours.
