a couple of weeks ago my phone seemed to slow down by 50-60% in its internal functions. like moving from screen to screen, going back to home screen, selecting apps, etc. I had downloaded the yahoo weather app & thought that maybe it was too big for the processor. so I uninstalled - no change. then I did a factory reset, still no change. any ideas why the sudden change? internet functions are normal.
thanks in advance.

There could have been a network update from your carrier or some other update that was pushed to your device (either another app or an Android update). Network updates contain information about cell phone towers like locations of new cells, updating link data and whole slew of other things that make your phone work better in certain areas. I can't say for sure an update like this would cause your phone to be dragged down that much, but generally any updates to older phones can cause it to slow down. That's just the nature of the game.

I guess it did not completely reset or something. I did another factory reset and voila! it came back to normal. or maybe gremlins!!!!!
