I wouldn't. Spen built in and you have a SD card.
They are making excuses as to why samsung would do such a thing. Such as I already have a bunch of them. I agree, the pricing didn't lower enough not to have those things IMO.Exactly. And NO charger cube!! Why haven't more people complained about the lack of charger in a flagship device with flagship pricing!?
I don't see the logic but to each his own. While it's a decent trade in credit, the S21 is not a Note. I don't know what they are offering as a trade on the S20 Ultra but that might make more sense to upgrade from. Of course if you don't own an S20 I could see the temptation. Since I have both there is no way I'd give up my Note 20 for an S21.Dumped my Note 20U for the s21 ultra. Should come tomorrow since I overnighted it. For $700 trade in credit I felt I should jump in on it for the price since there is no Note 21 this year AND I'm not spending almost 2k for the Fold 3.
Hopefully they release the Note 21 and they release it next Feb with the S line since they wont have one this year.

Good question not sureHow long before the major carrier stores quite selling the Note 20? Since there will be no Note 21 this year will Sammy produce them longer or by the end of the year you will not see the Note 20 in stores anymore? Probably early next year Best Buy will have the Note 20 cases in the clearance section.
Good question not sure
They do support older device longer but won't have all the goodies the newer device have on board.Doesn't Apple produce older iPhones longer? I would suspect maybe places like Metro will Sell the Note 20 Ultra eventually the left overs.

True. It's amazing a lot of people still use the iPhone 6 and 6s. I have a cell accessories shop at a fleamarket and get a lot of customers with them. Well, not so much the 6 but lots of iPhone 7 and 7 Plus still. BUT lately the Iphone 12 and 12 Pro Max getting tons of people wanting cases. But last year the iPhone 11 wasn't very popular. Odd.
I'm also seeing a lot of S21 line as well. Kinda surprised by this too. I suspect MAYBE it's the stimulus money families are getting they're upgrading to top of the line flag ships like the S21.
It sucks in a way because the vendors I order from have a crap selection of S21 line of cases.
Unless you want to spend money just to be spending it.
I agree with most of what you think. I think samsung is transitioning note users to the S series. The bigger S series will be the new note whch is fine if they embed the Spen IMO. Basically both series are the same phone anyway with minor build differences such as ones more square. The note has not been the superior phone for some time now, both phones are basically the same with a few tweaks each upgrade.I bought it. Camera is improved and the phone seems snappier!. Also couldn't beat $700 trade in. The other reason is because with no Note this year I don't want to be stuck with a old device.
I say around June more on here will be buying the S21 Ultra. I can't see people holding onto their Note for 2 years until Note 21 comes out.
Now it's slightly possible this Aug IF the Fold 3 has an embedded Spen I could give it a look BUT if it's like $1800 forget about it.
I'm thinking the Fold is replacing the Note. It will be the phone with the Spen built in. basically it will be the Note, except it will be a folding screen. They will market it as a phone but a small tablet with full spen.
You will have the S line in Feb and the Fold in Aug. That is my thinking. I wouldn't be shocked if they don't have a Note 21 and the Fold takes its place next year. i think the Note 20 Ultra is the last note. The Fold will basically be the new Note. So when DJ says they wont let us Note fans down it will be a Fold phone with built in Spen. Who knows maybe they will eventually rename the Fold to the Notebook or Note Pad. Would be like using a small note pad with the larger screen and Spen. Might not be a bad thing. A tablet small enough to carry to take notes on and use as your phone. Would be great for college and office not having to carry a tablet around.

The fold has the potential to take the notes spot and it is appearing samsung is moving in that direction. I have the fold 2 and the note 20U, I switch between the 2, but I get at most 2 days on the note and I'm going back to the fold. I am hoping when the folding phones go main stream and others start making them the pricing goes down, although I don't see the price going below $1,500. Example of this is when the note first came out, people were saying to big of a screen, price was to high, which it was for the times back then. Look at it now, popular phone, pricing is in line of other phones. Another point of view, people want bigger screens, the folding phones are the best way to get to that, get much bigger then the note 20U or S 21U and it's getting to tablet territory, folding phones can give us bigger screens and fold up for easier carrying. The fold 2 feels so much more comfortable in the hand closed for one handed, no stretching to reach parts of the screen, and just open it up for bigger screen when you want it. The fold is new technology, and as flossy says, you have to pay to play. Someone on here was looking at buying a new fold 2 on swappa for $1,200 a few weeks ago, so there's ways to get it without spending $2,000.
