Is it worth the cost: Nova Prime

I got it from an app called Tapet Infinite Wallpapers. I could email it to you if you want, but if you get the app it adjusts to your screen resolution. My M9 is only 1080p so it'd look better if you get it in a higher res for the S6 from the app. Also it'll add parallax since the S6 has it. M9 doesn't. It's free. If you still want it let me know though.

Well, after swiping a thousand times through the app, I never find that wallpaper lol. Not sure I want to pay 3 bucks for wallpapers though.

Yeah, that's the problem with that app. You just have to keep going and going til you find one you like. I'll send you the 1080p version I have. I don't think I'd pay for just a wallpaper app either.

I 'stole' my dad's Chinese-import Redmi Note LTE to change the way it looked. I honestly got really sick of the stock launcher as I thought the icons were too big and that it looked messy.

Downloaded Nova Launcher, installed Prime and configured it according to his usage. I think I can handle using his phone now. ;)

(Left is the Note, right is the old S3)

I just downloaded it and I didn't see where it said a price for the app. I hope I didn't do something I will regret. By the way has anybody noticed any negative effect on battery life from running Nova

There's the regular free version and Prime version which you have to pay for.

I've never had any battery life issues with Nova.

I can't say definitively that Nova affects my battery life as it doesn't show up in my battery stats. However, my standby time has gone down significantly since installing. Not sure if they're related or not, but who knows

I uninstalled Nova and went back to Touchwiz and the standby time is like night and day. 16-18 hours off the charger with Touchwiz with five and a half hours of screen on time

Took your advice and uninstalled Nova and the level of resources used dropped right off the bat. I can only assume that in the morning when I start with a full battery that the life has to be greatly increased. I will post my findings. You know Nova may have a bunch of settings and such but TW looks pretty good and works ok too.

I'm wondering if mine was because I turned on the always listening OK Google feature. I'll try switching it off when I put my SIM back in my Android phone.

I purchased Nova Prime and you are so right! You have a nice home screen! Here is what Nova Prime has done for me! I have the following:

Nova Prime
DCikonZ Icon Pack
Textra Texting App
TypeMail Email App

Night and day difference with no battery life changes.

Nice setup! Yes, it very refreshing to see all the options and how people utilize them. I also haven't noticed any major battery draining from Nova, so its all wins for me. The backup also works fantastic, I had my S6 swapped recently due to HW issues, restored my backup and its 100% refreshed.

I had enough of Nova and went back to Touchwiz. Battery life has been longer and much more stable than it was on Nova. I haven't looked back. This was my battery life in my most recent time off the charger

I find no discernible difference in consumption between Nova and TouchWiz.
