Is "K9 Mail" still considered the 3rd party mail app everyone uses?

I'll give this one a look. Agreed on touchdown--it's looked the same for years.

Okay, I decided to give Nine a try and have to admit I like the user interface. I would prefer that it maintained its own calendar (like Touchdown) rather than blending my Exchange calendar into my personal calendar, but that is a personal preference which others may not share.

Touchdown also supports syncing of Tasks and Notes; Nine does not currently do so however the developer's web site says, "(Please note that Tasks and Notes will be supported in the near future.)" so we shall see.

Of course, whether this has anything to do with the original poster's issue...
