Is My T-Bolt No Longer Sick?

Over the last few weeks my frustration level peaked when I my intermittent internet connectivity access fail continued. Initially I called in & I was sent a refurbished T-Bolt. It did not resolve my issue. Just got off the phone (3rd time with level 2 support) and the woman (Ingrid) who assisted me found something on her own that may be my phone's cure...

I'm not real technical and didn't care about the details (1/2 paid attention to her explanation)..just wanted resolution. She said that HTC had an update that I could get by going into my settings and making a default restore.

Real basic..(see below):
Settings, Wireless & Networks, Mobile Networks, Access Point Names. On the next screen (in my case it says Internet then vzwinternet with a green button lit up), you'll want to press menu (to the right of home on the bottom of the phone, to the left of the back arrow) then Reset to default.

Power off, wait a short while, power up & check your results.

Please post if this action helps you. After reading hours & hours of postings on the varied issues of this phone, I stuck with it. Maybe the God of smartphones will see to it that my actual device makes it into the Smithsonian as the first 4G phone.....ah - but I doubt it. Man's gotta dream..

Thanks for all of your postings....love those rantings & ravings.

p.s. Be nice to VerizonWireless support folks..it may make the difference in your getting a resolution!

VZW gave me the same advice, but it didn't work for me.

For me I uninstalled FB and it seems to be working much better. Way fewer data drops (but still have a few now and then). But I'm not sure I'm sold on using Fast for Facebook as my alternate FB app quite yet.

I had tried the same thing, but it's not a long term fix. The power down (and if you did a battery/SIM card pull) was probably what really helped. On that note though, I've noticed my occasional data drops have become much less frequent. It used to happen every couple days and sometimes get really bad for a couple hours. But in the last two weeks, I've probably had only two bouts and they've been very brief. I'm hoping that Verizon has been tweaking their network and improving the issue. I seemed to have noticed a similar thing a month ago when they turned up more LTE areas. So just to recap, if you're having constant data drops, it's probably a hardware issue with the phone in which you'll need to get a replacement. If it's not constant, it's Verizon's network and there really isn't much you can do about it.

Same here (in Maine). When LTE was activated (though coverage ends 5 miles from my house - WAAAAHHHH!!!), it was a nightmare trying to transition from my WiFi to Mobile data when I left the house. There were times when it took a reboot to get mobile data back (and the @#$@#$ T-bolt takes so long to reboot that by the time it was done I'd usually be in a WiFi area again anyway...).

The problems persisted, albeit at a lower frequency, until just recently.

I just realized that I haven't had to futz around with my phone to get mobile data for about a week or so.
