Is Note 8 Still A Worthy Upgrade?

I don't know, the Note 8 is the first phone I've purchased new from AT&T in years, and probably the last full price phone I buy, (other than unlocked phones), that I will pay full price for. The value of this phone dropped like a rock. I picked up an LG V30 AT&T version that was a little over a month old for $300 less than s new one from AT&T. I see AT&T branded Note 8's in mint condition for $400 or less than AT&T's full price.

The Note8 is still a worthy upgrade. The wow factor of the new flagships is really going down. For the price they are going for, it's a great bargain right now.
There were rumors months ago that once the Note9 was released, the Note8 would no longer be available. So, not sure if that is just a rumor or not. If it's not, I would expect used ones to go up in price.

After looking at some prices on Samsung's website, it appears they are offering better trade in values for note 9 preorders. I can get the note 9 for about $10 more per month than what the note 8 would cost. Price is definitely a factor for me, but $10/month doesn't seem that bad. Do you guys think that the note 9 would be worth $10 more per month? I don't know how much I would use the new spen features, but the bigger battery, newer chip, and updated camera may be worth it. Especially since it will be my only phone for the next 2+ years.

I can't tell you if it will be worth it to you. You will have to look at what you are getting and decide if the bigger battery, more internal storage, new Spen features and slightly bigger screen are worth it for you.

As much as I want the new Note, mostly because I've bought every one of them, my Note 8 runs like new after 10 months. I'll wait and see if I can get a price drop in a few months or a really great deal that includes accessories I would actually use.

if you really want a new phone now just go for the extra tenner a month and get the Note 9
